The Sunday Bible class as well as Sunday School for children meets at 9:30 a.m. and lasts until 10:30 a.m.
The Bible class has been put on hold while we work on some logistical issues. (Pastor Kellerman is serving as a vacancy pastor elsewhere and leads the services there before First Bethlehem’s. Thus he is unable to lead the Bible class and unfortunately the lay leaders who have led it in the past are unable to do so at this time.) Sunday School for children, however, begins on October 2. The Sunday School will meet in the church basement.
To give you an idea of where we’ve been, the Bible class spent the 2009-2010 school year studying Jonah, Daniel 1-6, Amos, and highlights of Isaiah and John; in 2010-2011 we looked at highlights of the Book of Acts and a DVD series featuring the Rev. Dr. Art Just about the Lutheran way of worship. The topic for the next Bible class will be announced when we are closer to getting it under way.
